What to Prepare When Going to Disneyland For The First Time?

Firstly, make sure that everyone in your group is prepared. To enjoy any trip, it’s important to be in the right mindset beforehand. If you are worried about your safety or if you feel that it’s going to be hard for you  to not spend all your money at Disney World, then your Disney vacation  will be ruined even before it starts!

Know About How Much Money Do You Need For Disney World

Secondly, make sure your money situation is sorted out as well. Disney World can be an expensive place to visit if you aren’t prepared. There are so many things there that cost extra. Whether it’s food or souvenirs or other little knick-knacks, bear in mind that there’s always an opportunity to spend money.

The Basics: What You Need When Going To Disney World

When going on a vacation, make sure you bring the basics. Here we will talk about what is essential when going to Disney World and how much it would cost for each item.  Keep in mind that prices vary depending on the time of year and whether or not you go during a holiday, but for the most part these should be accurate.

Disney World Essentials: What You Need To Bring When Going To Disney World For A Day

First off, make sure your luggage is fairly lightweight. The less you carry with you, the better. It’s going to be a long day at Disney World and it’d be great if you came prepared.

Because the weather at Disney World is still fairly hot, you will most likely have to bring a lot of water with you. It’s a good idea to get a water bottle that is easy to carry around with you. You can fill it up with tap water for free.

Because you will be walking around through the entire day, and quite a lot at that, you will want to make sure that your shoes are comfortable and fit well. If you’re doing a lot of walking then flip-flops or sandals might not be the best idea; we recommend proper closed-toe footwear instead.

You’ll also want to bring sunscreen, as there is very little shade in Disney World. The sun can be very strong there and you do not want to get a heatstroke while spending time with Mickey Mouse!

Make sure to bring a camera with you, as it is a must when going on vacation. If you don’t have a good camera, there are usually places where you can rent one at the park.

Get Your Tickets and Riding Rides Schedule: The Ultimate Guide to Disney World Park Hopping

Once you’re in theme parks and ready to go on some rides, then we recommend getting your tickets first. Note that you cannot enter any of the Disney attractions without a ticket.

If you want to ride any of the rides, then we recommend going early in the day at first. The parks get very crowded by mid-afternoon and it’s hard to enjoy yourself during that time.

Once inside Disney World you can hop from park to park easily with FastPass+ or Park Hopping pass.

Park Hopping: What You Need to Know About Disney World Express Passes

If you are planning on visiting more than one park during your trip, then it is recommended that you invest in a Park Hopping pass. This way, instead of waiting hours in line for popular attractions like the new Star Wars ride or Soarin’, you can go to another park for a few hours while you wait.

This is much more convenient than queuing up in the morning only to have Disney World run out of FastPass tickets by noon. Can’t get any fastpasses because they are all gone!

To be able to use this type of pass, however, you must first have a park pass. They cost about $10 more per person, however if you are planning on spending at least three days in Disney World (quite likely), then it is definitely worth the cost.

Having unlimited access to all of the most popular rides by using your Park Hopping pass will make all of the difference for you and your family!

The Only Map You Need to Get Around at Disney World

There are two big maps of the resort. The first one is inside the front cover of the Guest Services Catalog, which you can pick up once inside any theme park or hotel lobby. It has all of the main places marked out for you, including shops and attractions. However, it does not include character locations, restaurants and other smaller places.

The other big map is at the front gate of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It includes all of these small places within its boundaries and shows their addresses as well. You can get this type of information inside any Guest Services office or from one of the employees manning the attractions. They also have a map of the parks that you can get.

As for smaller maps, they are available at all quick service restaurants, front gates and some gift shops. They come in booklets and usually have every part of the resort mapped out on them: attractions, restaurants and even character locations. You can use these to make your way around easily and quickly.

The Ultimate Guide to Buying Disney World Souvenirs on a Budget

When looking for souvenirs, do not forget to look for the shops inside the park! Just like every other theme park you’ve ever been in, Disney World is full of stores full of all sorts of trinkets and memorabilia. When getting souvenirs, you can also use your Character Locator app to find a character, and they will take a picture with you for free!

As for where to stuff all of your new finds, well, most hotels have gift shops. For the days when you are planning on returning home exactly as you left it, there is usually also a shop before exiting the park, where you can buy all of the normal merchandise that is available in stores around the world.

You’re never too old to visit Disney World. Whether you are traveling with your family or just looking for a solo adventure, there’s something in the park that will appeal to everyone. Don’t forget to use this guide to make sure you get the most out of your experience!
